7 Tips to Being Authentic in all you do and being happy

1:

Know Yourself Intimately

Getting to know yourself on an intimate level allows you to truly understand who you really are. You can’t be authentic if you don’t even know who you are aer all. You can get to know yourself by:

  • Creating your own Brilliance List – a list of all the things that are brilliant about you and your life. is is a positive list of all the great things you:
  • Have achieved so far
  • Your successes so far
  • Your qualications
  • Identify your values and your beliefs and what really makes you who you are.
  • Connect to your passions and understand your purpose in life.
  • Get to know your and really understand your likes and dislikes.

 

2:

Spend time with yourself doing what you love!

When was the last time you took yourself out on a date? Never you say! It’s about time you really got to spend time appreciating yourself and treating yourself more. So, what do you enjoy doing? What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your spare time? Or if you can’t tell the last time you had some free time, what did you enjoy doing in the past? Once you have identified what you really enjoy, go out and have fun. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:

• Having date nights with yourself – go out to the cinema or take yourself out for a meal.

• Take some quiet time out for yourself by reading a great inspirational book or magazine for fun.

• Treating yourself to a bit of luxury by having a spa break or buying something special.

 

3:

Trust Yourself

When we are living an inauthentic life, things just don’t feel right and we feel out of sync and we lose trust in ourselves. We all have that inner voice, and I don’t mean your inner critic. I am sure you can recall all the positive messages you also say to yourself. You look beautiful today, that lipstick really suits you, what a great job you did today.

Practicing using your instincts more, by going with your gut feeling and trusting the decisions you make. Believe that you know what is best for you and that the decisions you make will always be the best decision for you at that time. Who knows you best!

Have clarity of your future

When you know exactly who you are and where you are going, this sets you up for success. Having a clear vision of your
future, allows us to know what we want for ourselves and our loved ones. Spend some time identifying your goals, remembering to make them Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound, then ensure that they are in alignment with your values. is will ensure that you are being authentic along the way.

 

5:

Release your limiting beliefs

We all have them, whether you call them limiting beliefs, negative self talk, your inner critic or limiting self beliefs. Spend some time listening to how you talk to yourself when no one else is around. Are you being nice to yourself? If not, then it’s time to start loving and accepting yourself for who you are, warts and all! It is who you are, no one is perfect and no one expects perfection, so stop beating yourself up. You are a unique being and you have free will to be the creator of your own experiences and to live a life with infinite possibilities.

So identify those beliefs that are preventing you from achieving your successes and start to break them down by identifying the facts that disprove them. One great example is that you might feel that you have nothing to say that anyone will be interested in hearing, ask yourself:

  • What evidence do I have to support that?
  • What does the evidence conrm?

The answer to this limiting belief is usually that there are many out there that are ready and waiting to hear your voice and your message and you are preventing them from doing so. So, just asking those two questions, will immediate help you to realise that
this and other limiting beliefs that you are carrying around daily, cannot be proven to be factual, so just let go of them and work with what is true.

 

6:

Like attracts like!

As humans, we crave community and feeling a part of something bigger than ourselves. With this in mind, surrounding yourself with people who are similar to our authentic self, allows us to maintain the right vibrational state for us. is is also a powerful strategy for those who want to up level their lives by gaining promotion, changing their careers, or even starting their entrepreneurial journey. Find someone who is already in that place and spend time with them. Likewise, avoid those that are the complete opposite of your authentic self or where you are aspiring to be. Otherwise, this will continue to hold you in the place where you are and leave you feeling stuck.

Keep Checking In With Yourself

Understand what it looks like and feels like to be authentic and keep checking in with yourself. is will help you to identify when you are not being truly authentic. is could show up in a number of ways, in your actions, your words and it will be out of sync with your values. When this happens, take the opportunity and give yourself the authority to course correct and adjust immediately

Be unapologetic about being who you are and the life you are living in all your authenticity. As long as you are being you and you are true to yourself, stand in your power and just love yourself. Use these few tips to help you live a more authentic life where you feel yourself 100% of the times.
